You Wouldn't Dare (Khaos Trilogy Book 1), стр. 50

discussed in my parent’s pack. I had thought it was disgusting and bordering on bestiality. Yet running with Khaos, the want had taken over me so naturally that I couldn’t deny it. In those minutes I had realised that my wolf and I were one. She had her own personality and her own thoughts and feelings, but she was the other half of me. Together we created a perfect balance.

Khaos wasn’t to know that my wolf had already chosen him, that she had bonded with his wolf in a way that we could never return from. I understood his consideration, but we were too far gone, lost to the call of the mating bond that wouldn’t be denied.

With my thoughts muddled and confused, I quickly shifted back and called out to him I was done.

He reappeared almost instantly and nodded his head, holding out his hand towards me without a word. I guess playful Khaos had gone again. I sighed heavily and took his hand in mine, hoping that the change in him wouldn’t mean the beginning of another argument. I wouldn’t be able to stand it if he distanced himself from me once more.

With the change in atmosphere and tension rising, I had assumed Khaos would lead me back to the packhouse and go his separate ways, needing to put some distance between us. I had been bracing myself for his blunt rejection, knowing it was coming but also knowing that I would not fight it. I had promised myself that I would take this at his pace, not pushing him to give more than he was ready for. So, I was more than a little surprised when he directed me towards the stream again, both of us silent as we walked along the bank until we reached the area where the water pooled out to create a large swimming hole. Khaos instructed me to sit down as he gracefully dived into the water, popping back up between my legs. He gave me a goofy grin as he pushed the water from his face before he gently raised one of my legs, slowly massaging it, removing all the mud and leaves from our walk.

“I’m happy you’re here, Violet,” he whispered softly, repeating his actions on my other leg.

“Me too.” I smiled back, seeing the relief in his eyes. No doubt my own eyes were shining bright with relief too. For once, he hadn’t done what I expected. I knew he had been fighting a battle within himself, and this time, the darkness hadn’t won.

Khaos

I could live a thousand lives and I would never see a sight as beautiful as the one in front of me right now.

Violet had her face turned up to the sky, leaning back on her hands, as I massaged her legs. Her long blonde hair streamed out behind her, creating a perfect halo around her body. Her skin was glistening from the water, small goosebumps raising wherever I touched her. Her angelic face was radiating happiness, her lips curled into a gentle smile, her long lashes resting on her cheeks as she closed her eyes.

I made a game out of chasing the goosebumps down her body, watching as she shivered under my touch.

She was completely ravishing.

From the heart-stopping beauty of her face to the toned shape of her legs, the tiny stretch marks at the back of her thighs and along her hips, the perfect shape of her firm, large tits. I wanted nothing more than to take her right now, to pierce through her throbbing pussy and make her my own, but I would never take that from her until she was ready. Drake had ripped my own virginity from me; I would be extra cautious with Violet’s. I wanted her to have no regrets in her life. If we were going to make this work, we would have all the time in the world together. There was no rush.

I pushed down my wolf as he demanded that we give in to our feelings and take her here and now, and instead concentrated on the beautiful creature in front of me. She opened her eyes to stare at me with her piercing blue gaze, raising her eyebrow at me in a silent question. I nodded back, not caring what the question was, only knowing that the answer was yes. Anything she wanted, anything she asked for, it would always be yes. I would do anything for this woman. I felt the tension leave her body, and she relaxed onto the bank.

In sheer amazement, I realised that this woman and I may have a future. That with slow, cautious steps we could build a life together that would make us happy.

The icy barrier surrounding my heart thawed. She was breaking down all the walls I surrounded myself with brick by brick to find the real me inside, the boy I had thought I had lost forever, the boy that had been destroyed by the cruel actions of others. I had been hesitant, thinking of Louisa and her vicious scheming, the way she used me and our friendship as a steppingstone to becoming Luna. It was unfair, and I knew it. I had to stop comparing the two before I ruined the one ray of hope in my life. I already knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that there wasn’t a malicious bone in Violet’s body.

Putting my trust in her and hoping she wouldn’t betray me, I hauled myself up on the bank next to her, pulling her head on my chest as we laid down together. As we relaxed into each other, our breathing becoming soft and even, I began to speak – this time telling her the story of my life after Ryssa and Drake.

Violet

I kept my mouth shut as Khaos talked, opening himself up to me. I sensed that my input was not required,
