We spread the word that we are a safe haven to others. We embracechange, diversity and inclusion. We respect everyone and offer them oursupport in helping to make this world a better world, not just for us, butfor everyone who survived The Cure.
My father would be proud of the world we have built and fought for.
Maybe not the world he dreamed of when he and Professor Brittlediscovered The Cure, but certainly a world where their friends and familycan live happily and healthy.
The past few months have opened my eyes to the good and bad in peopleand confirmed that I am right where I need to be. Among the people whomean the most to me and share the ideals that I have and that we hope toshare with the rest of the remaining world.
Goodness is everywhere and you can take advantage of that or you canembrace it and give it back tenfold. But know that if you abuse it then weare happy to stand against you and show you we will not bow down andbe bullied.
In the fight of good versus evil we are winning.
For now we can enjoy the life we have been granted and share that withothers. We can take pleasure in being part of a community which had littlein common when we met, but the right values in place to move together asone.
We have leaders who put the community first but with the knowledge andwisdom to know when we should risk what we have to fight for theunderdog.
We have love. People in our lives who make each day that little bit better.That make us smile on the tough days and allow us to fly on the good days.
We have the memories of the ones we’ve lost, and we know what they gave up for us. For that we are grateful every day and remember them.
So whereas once I didn’t know what the future held I feel positive that thehard times are over,and we can look forward rather than back.’ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
