since I want the same thing. I carefully straddle him, trying not to shake his elbow or cause him more pain. I slip his tip into me and slide down his hard length until he’s completely buried inside me. I hold onto the couch behind him for support and he manages to get my breast into his mouth. Suddenly sucking hard and stretching it, refusing to let go as I move on him. Biting, kissing, and licking every part of me he can reach. He starts moving as I’m almost to the edge and all I can do is scream out his name as we both go together. I can’t stop myself as I move on him wildly and needy. We both cry out and I don’t want to stop, he’s so amazing. Rick finally touches my shoulder and guides my mouth to his, soothing me with his soft lips and tender caress. Both of us taste like orange juice and vodka. We stay together as I sit straddling him for hours while we make out.

We never ordered pizza. The vodka is gone. I don’t remember going to bed. This is what it’s like to be with Rick when he doesn’t have to worry about baseball. Carefree and reckless. I wake up in bed with Rick holding my hand and it’s only 3am. I’m guessing it’s the only way he can sleep, otherwise he’d be wrapped around me. He’s talking in his sleep, so I listen.

“I love you so much, Sherry. Don’t be mad. I want to be with you forever. I want you with me always. Soon we’ll make all of our dreams come true. We can do anything together. Don’t ever give up on me. I want to protect you and take care of you. Only you, my queen. There is only you.” He still sounds buzzed.

I move closer to him and lean my head on his right shoulder, so I can whisper in his ear, “I love you, too, Rick. You’re my soul mate. Never shut me out. I’ll always be here for you. I have a hard time believing we’re real. I dreamt about you for years and you’re better than any of my dreams. We’ll make our dreams come true. We can do anything together, my king.” I watch the smile appear on his face and fall back to sleep.

Chapter Eight

I wake up smelling coffee before my alarm goes off, so I turn it off and let Rick sleep. I get up and get prepped to make breakfast. I mix up some biscuit dough and brown the crumbled sausage in a pan. I cut out biscuits and put them in the oven. I add flour and milk to my sausage slowly, and stir it in until I get it to the right consistency and the raw flour flavor has cooked out. I crack some eggs into a bowl, add salt and pepper and whisk them up. I heat another pan and melt a little bit of butter in it before I dump the eggs in to cook. I swirl the pan around and scramble the eggs with my spatula. I get a couple plates and coffee mugs, so I’m ready. The biscuits are smelling delicious. I check on them and they’re golden brown, so I take them out of the oven. Rick walks into the kitchen with pain showing on his face.

“I thought I smelled you cooking breakfast. It looks great. I’m hungry.” He says as he tries to smile.

“I figured you’d be hungry. We never ate last night. I don’t remember going to bed. The vodka is gone.” I laugh.

“We should probably get more, it helped me sleep last night. That and the special treatment from my woman.” He wiggles his brows at me dirtily.

I dish up breakfast and keep the conversation going, “Do you want to stay in today and relax? I have a couple of errands to do, so I won’t be gone long. I can put them off until tomorrow if you’d rather.”

“I’d like to get out.”

It hits me, “How about we go to the beach and relax on the warm sand for a while, then do the errands?”

“Sounds good, as long as you’ll help me shower later.”

“Anything for you, my king.”

“I like the sound of that. Anything for me. That might get you into trouble.”

I’m in a teasing mood, “I look forward to it.”

We finish breakfast and get ready for the beach. I put on my black bikini, pulling on denim shorts and a black tank top over it. I brush my hair out and pull it back into a ponytail. I find Rick sitting on the edge of the bed in board shorts, frustrated and trying to take his sling off. I kiss him sweetly and gaze into his eyes, “I love you, my king. Let me help you.” I take the sling off and search through his clothes. I find a Property of the Seals T-shirt with the sleeves cut off, leaving it with large armholes and help Rick put it on starting with the left arm to keep it easy on his elbow.

“I’m not going to break.” He says sternly and glares at me with his piercing eyes.

“I know you’re made of iron, but I don’t want to make it worse. I want you to heal quickly, so you can get back on the field.” He softens a bit and doesn’t argue with me. I help him get the shirt pulled all the way on and put the sling back on with only a slight wince. I grab a couple beach towels and my beach blanket as we head out the door.

It’s Monday, the beach is empty this early in the day. I lead Rick to my favorite part of the beach, over toward lifeguard stand five, and find a patch of soft warm sand. I spread out my beach blanket and sit watching the waves crash. I love the breeze off of the ocean, the
