Cocky Striker: A Hero Club Novel, стр. 42

mattress.

I slowly ease her zipper down and then pull her dress until it falls in a puddle at our feet. I moan because she isn’t wearing a bra, and her perky tits beg for my mouth. Always happy to oblige, I lick one pebbled tip before switching to the other.

I grab the first one between my teeth, giving it a nip and then a lick. I suck it into my mouth, and she cries out. I switch between the two until she’s writhing against me.

Her moans are music to my ears, and I can’t take it anymore. “Baby, I promise round two will be better, but if I’m not inside you soon, I’m going to lose my mind.”

Laken gets on the bed in all her naked glory, except she’s wearing those fuck me heels. “We’re keeping the shoes on,” I tell her. With quick hands I undress myself and then grab the condom, quickly sheathing myself. “You are perfection,” I whisper as I line my cock up with her entrance and slam into her.

Her head goes back as she cries out. I still can’t get over how fucking tight she is. Laken grabs my face, pulling it down to hers. “Fuck me.” Her lips are on mine, and that’s what I begin to do. I fuck her hard until neither of us can take it anymore.

Laken grabs my hair in her fists as she comes. Her pussy gets so hot and wet as she comes, moaning against my lips. I give her three more thrusts before I bury myself hard and deep inside her, coming over and over.

Our kiss slows as I bring her down from her orgasm and gain my wits about me. I ease out of her, careful not to hurt her, and quickly pull off the condom. I wrap it up in a tissue and throw it into the wastebasket then pull her into my arms.

“Thank you for everything. I’ll never forget this,” she says quietly against my chest, where she’s now resting her head.

Something about the way she said that last part doesn’t sit right with me, but before I can say anything she falls asleep.

“Let’s go,” Trey says from behind me as he spots me on squat. When my legs are worn out, I step forward and place the bar on the rack. He tosses me a towel, and I wipe my face. “What’s your deal, man?”

I grab my water and take a swig. “What are you talking about?” Of course I know exactly what is wrong. Laken is pulling away from me. It’s been two weeks since the party, and she’s not acting like herself.

Oh sure, the sex is still mind blowing and amazing, we still spend every moment together, but it’s like she’s putting a wall up around her. I have no clue what to do. I need to tell her about Nike, but with things on shaky ground I am scared to; especially since I’ve known about it for a few weeks.

“Seriously, man? You’re distracted and lifting weights like you’re punishing yourself. Things okay with you and Laken?”

Are they? I shrug and look down. “Yes … no… I don’t know. It’s like she’s closing herself off from me, ever since the dance. This is why I’ve stayed away from relationships.”

“Laken is great. Why don’t you talk to her? I’m no relationship expert, but maybe you should.”

I nod. “Yeah, okay.” I grab my phone and look at the time. “I’ve got to go. She’s meeting me at my place.”

“Good luck, brother.”

I give him a chin lift and take off. I pull into the parking lot and park next to Laken’s car. I let myself in the back door and jog up the stairs to my floor. The door is locked, so I let myself in. I find my girl sitting on the sofa with a text book on the cushion next to her and her laptop on her lap.

She smiles when I step inside and even sets her laptop down, jumping off the sofa and wrapping her arms around me. I bend down and kiss her softly. “I missed you,” Laken whispers when I pull away.

Fuck, it feels good to hear her say that, and I can see in her eyes that she means it. “Are we okay?” Shit, I didn’t mean to ask that right now.

“Of course, why wouldn’t we be?”

I shrug. “I don’t know. It’s just felt like you’ve been pulling away from me. Things have been different since the night of the party. Did I do something?”

Laken stares at my chest and then looks up at me. “Why didn’t you tell me about Oregon? At the party, your mom asked what I thought, and I had to pretend to be excited about something you didn’t share with me.”’

“I swear to you I was not trying to keep it from you. My professor told me about it the same day Ava got sick. We were busy taking care of her.”

She steps back from me. “That was three weeks ago. You’ve had plenty of time to tell me. Did you think I would be upset? That I wouldn’t support you? This is your future, Chance. What kind of girlfriend would I be if I didn’t get excited about this opportunity for you?”

I reach for her, but she backs away from me. “I know I should’ve told you, but there was never a right time.”

“We’re never going to work,” Laken says it so quietly I almost don’t hear it.

I step toward her, but she backs away. “What do you mean, we won’t work? I’m sorry I didn’t tell you.”

“That’s not why.” She starts stuffing her stuff into her bag.

“Then what is it? I deserve to know why you would say something like that.” I watch one lone tear slide down her cheek. “What is it, baby? I love you.”

She sits and covers her face with her hands. “Your parents don’t think we should be together.”

“What? That’s crazy! They’re crazy about
